Pamarco are a worldwide manufacturer of quality Ceramic Anilox Rollers, using the latest technologies to make sure printers can keep up with the increased demands on graphics by the end users. Pamarco has invested in specially-engineered ceramic coating and cylinders which are protected against corrosion and blistering by a plasma-sprayed nickel-plate prior to ceramic coating.
The laser used to engrave the anilox cell, determines the cell depth; the cell angle and the shape of the bottom of the cells achieved on the anilox. By controlling the power output of the laser used to engrave the ceramic anilox, precise and repeatable results are achievable.
Diamond polishing takes place after the anilox engraving process, which enhances the tops of cell walls and the areas between the cell walls. Diamond polishing the surface of the anilox roller improves the surface of the anilox roller and in conjunction with the precision of the cells engraved into the anilox roller, results in an anilox roller that can precisely and consistently control the ink released from the anilox cell to the printing plate.
Pamarco aims to produce consistent, high-quality cell engravings that improve the cells’ ability to release the ink from the anilox cell to the printing plate. This provides the printer with controlled ink metering and better ink transfer, which improves the printed ink density achieved on the printed substrate.
They back their product with technical support including anilox roll audits to ensure consistency in cell measurement via a customer-specific data-base, so subsequent rolls are compared to a pre-determined customer standard.
