When you are the maker of a range of hand-made hot sauces with a heat factor from one to 10 (plus altered tastes), is no surprise that you want labels to match the vibrancy of your products. Not happy with the labels produced by its previous printer, Habanero a go-go turned to Guru Labels for a solution.
Guru Labels provided pre-production samples in different colour versions which is a great way for clients to see what their labels could look like before committing to a full run. The team at Guru Labels was able to make suggestions for tweaks to the CMYK break-up in order to get the vibrant result the South Australian company was looking for.
In addition, Habanero a go-go wanted custom-shaped lid labels for the bottles. These have a perforation through the label so they can be easily torn when opening the bottle, while also acting as a seal while the product is on the shelf.
Playing an important role in the production of the labels for Habanero a go-go was the latest addition to Guru Labels’ production capabilities: the Grafisk Maskinfabrik DC330 Mini finisher. Developed in a small footprint to minimise waste and maximise productivity, the DC330 Mini provides UV flexo varnish, lamination, cold-foil, die cutting and slit and dual rewind on one single compact platform.
Nick Lowe, founder and Director of Guru Labels, highlights the importance of selecting the perfect finishing machine: “We worked closely with the GM team to identify the perfect machine for our needs – one that would enhance our production capabilities, streamline operations and contribute to our eco-friendly goals. After careful analysis, GM provided us with a state-of-the-art machine tailored to our requirements.”
In the end, Guru Labels helped Habanero a go-go come away with a vibrant set of labels that it is proud to display on its products.
“Working with the Guru team has been a great experience from the initial enquiry right through to the finished labels,” remarked owner Duane. “Everything went smoothly, the labels look great and arrived on time as promised.”
