UPM Raflatac’s RafCycle recycling service has won a silver Sustainable Packaging Design of the Year 2023 award at the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards.
Coordinated by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the PIDA awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field across Australia and New Zealand.
RafCycle recycling service is label-release liner waste recycling at its simplest. By collecting and recycling the release liner waste through RafCycle, companies can close the recycling loop and support circular economy. Beyond the simplicity of the service, RafCycle unleashes real business impact, from concrete cost savings to reaching sustainability goals.
“Our whole RafCycle team is excited and proud of the Sustainable Packaging Design of the Year 2023 award. In addition to the award committee, we want to thank all our RafCycle partner companies for the collaboration and making this possible. The award is proof that in the market there is a need for solutions that support the circular economy while at the same time bringing positive business impacts,” says Juha Virmavirta, Director, RafCycle Solutions, UPM Raflatac.
