Ricoh Electronics has announced the introduction of two new clear direct thermal film products to its comprehensive product portfolio: CDT-1 (PET) and CDT-2 (PP).
Both products are ideal for high-speed printing and have been designed with plastic clamshell packaging end use in mind. The transparent nature of these clear direct thermal film products helps to provide a premium packaging look that offers end users easy visibility of internal contents, while making the plastic substrate easier to recycle.
Each product offers high image resolution, excellent barcode reliability and strong water resistance. CDT-1 has a Face Caliper of 2.1 mil (54µm) while the Face Caliper of CDT-2 is 2.9 mil (74µm). CDT-1 and CDT-2 also feature high heat and chemical resistance to help mitigate potential colour degradation in harsh environments.
