On 22 and 23 June Prati will open the doors of its Faenza plant to unveil the philosophy that inspired its work and led to the development of new finishing technologies. It will be an opportunity to meet with prominent partners, get to know Mario di Paolo – winner of the award for best label designer in the world, and experience, an event within the event, two days of local culture and gastronomy.
‘Together we plan the future’ is the leitmotif that has accompanied Prati’s journey, which began almost 50 years ago and which over time has been consolidated thanks to ingredients such as passion, know-how, and, above all, the desire to offer customers machines with an innovation button.
Prati has had the strength to believe in ambitious projects and to bring them together with customers and now, with its designers – the driving force of corporate creativity – it wants to make its transformation known and to show all the ‘nuances of finishing’ in the various phases of doming, varnishing, cutting, curing, foiling and slitting to stir the imagination of the producers of labels and packaging.
The stars of the event
The ability to listen to market demands has made it possible over the years to offer not only competitive solutions but also real technological jewels. The models to take pride of place at the event will be:
DIGIFASTone – Completely digital, both in finishing and in die-cutting, this model allows users to enter the short-run market by producing promotional labels in the food & beverage, wine & spirits, cosmetics, personal care and home care sectors. Attendees will be able to see how to create labels with great added value and feel the effects of finishing and digital finishing on special paper labels.
DIGIFAST20000 – This digital finishing line has been optimised for the finishing of the mid-web printed packaging sector. The modular design permits entry to a new sector, starting with finishing and ending with packaging, thanks to an ‘all in one solution. It is configurable to meet individual finishing requirements from varnishing to full or selective printing, embellishing and finishing either in roll or sheet for further processing.
DIGICOMPACT – The digital finishing line that makes ergonomics and compactness its strengths, with an overall length of only three metres. It allows you to work with thicknesses from 12 to 350 microns and eliminate waste between one job and another. The line can be customised with various optional modules (roll to roll, roll to sheet and roll to stack units).
SATURN Bidi is a control and inspection table for labels in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical sector. Ideal for booklet labels, it is supplied with print quality inspection and re-inspection function, back numbering and related inspection, counting, cutting and rewinding. Cleaning the web path between work cycles ensures compliance for the pharmaceutical industry with ISO 15378.
The common thread between the various models and the protagonist ‘behind the scenes’ is the FUTURA platform, on which the Prati machines have been developed with a view to 4.0. The open house is therefore an opportunity to see how Futura has already been appreciated by many customers, who have benefited from extreme flexibility, unlimited upgrades, easy retrofitting, maximum efficiency and adaptability of the machines in a constantly changing market. But above all, it is about investing today to save the future.
