A ground-breaking, collaborative project between A B Graphic International, Berkshire Labels, Tomlinson, Studio Parr and API Foilmakers was formed prior to Labelexpo Europe to create a series of stunning labels under the title Project Mythos. Embodying imagination and endeavour, the contemporary family of luxury labels combines the individual strengths of each company to showcase the latest trends in world-class label embellishments.
The series of six wine and spirits labels – Poseidon, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Zeus and Hestia – were printed on the AB Graphic Digicon 3 press at Berkshire Labels, utilising its Big Foot hot foil and embossing module. Giving excellent foil coverage, this machine applies 50 tonnes of pressure allowing foil to be stamped with multiple foil feeding across and along the web, creating new effects and finishes along with semi-rotary silk screen. The high-quality, unique labels are also cost-effective thanks to the Digicon 3 intelligent foil-save system!
The Tomlinson’s tooling brass sculptured fluted foil die provided a crisp design, embellished with API Foilmakers’ Hot foil 4229U MV-Plus Extreme Matt Gold.
Extreme Matt Gold (Ultra Matt Finish) is a muted, understated shade that hints at a sense of subtlety and sophistication. The use of Extreme Matt Gold foil for the Poseidon label created a sense of understated elegance, making it an ideal choice to convey a sense of class and exclusivity.
