The 30th Annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition celebrates the quality, added value, shelf presence, security and brand recognition that the finishing and embellishment processes lend to printed products.
In this year’s competition, Gold, Silver and Bronze Award winners were selected in 47 categories with Cartes Machinery taking home three Best of Category Gold Awards and one Silver Award.
Category for Best Use of Digital Foil and Embossing – Label (Digitally Printed)
Cartes won Gold for the 10 vintage Vendemmie wine label produced on a GT360 by Sovemec, Italy.
Cartes was also named the Silver Winner with the Araña (The Silver Spider) wine label printed on a GT360.
Category for Best Use of Digital Foil and Embossing Label – Client Promotion/Brochure
Cartes 1970-2020 label printed on a GT360 by Cartes, Moglia MN, Italy took out the Gold Award in this category.
Category for Best Use of Laser Cutting (Decorative)
The Koval dry gin label produced by Paragon Label (A Resource Label Group Company), Canada on a Cartes Gemini dual laser cutting machine earned Gold for this entry.
The versatile GT 360 can combine units for hot stamping, embossing, screen printing, flatbed die-cutting, flexo varnishing, semi-rotary die-cutting and laser converting, making it suitable not only for finishing, but also for fulfilling high-value labels with maximum economy.
