Print & Pack Australia has been appointed official supplier for Apex International, with the trusted supplier now responsible for sales and technical support for the innovative range of Apex anilox and metering rollers across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Australasian region.
Carsten Wendler, Managing Director of Print & Pack, says the new partnership is a ‘perfect fit for the company which is an established partner for businesses in labels, flexible and corrugated packaging, folding cartons and point-of-sale.
“At Print & Pack we are not trying to be ‘all things to all people’,” Wendler says. “Rather, we apply a strong focus to these priority markets to make sure we can provide printers and converters with the best possible quality, innovation and technical support.
“One feature all these key markets share is their need for anilox and coating rollers, and this new partnership with Apex International perfectly complements our existing relationship with Swiss-based Daetwyler for high-quality doctor blades, providing our clients with total solutions to deliver the quality they expect.”
The new arrangement will see Print & Pack supply the local market with a full Apex range including the patented GTT engraved Anilox roller technology for which the Netherlands-based manufacturer is well-known.
“Apex is an innovation leader with a range of roller solutions that deliver superior print quality, cost savings and waste reduction,” Wendler says, “and this new agreement has been specifically designed to bring those solutions to this region in a timely and reliable fashion in what are exceptionally challenging times for international supply chains.”
With five, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and a global network of supply partners like Print & Pack, Apex is well placed to ensure timely product delivery and security of supply to its customers in the corrugated, narrow- and wide-web, offset and coating markets.
“While COVID and other factors continue to create challenges, we are working closely with Apex, and with all our manufacturing partners, to reinforce supply arrangements, and we are also looking for other ways to ensure even stronger and more focused service and support across the ANZ region,” Wendler says.
Over recent months, the company has expanded its team with the addition of four new service engineers, all of whom have recently returned from factory training, and the appointment of Miro Williams as Sales Manager for Corrugated & Offset and Peter Williams as Sales Manager for Labels, Flexibles & Offset. They join long-term training specialist Steve Harper as the core team for these new products.
Nick Harvey, Technical Director at Apex, will also take a dedicated role in providing expertise to the region and Daetwyler technical specialist Clinton Lovell has been seconded to the company’s Melbourne head office providing tailored support in this important complementary area.
“We are excited with the possibilities and options this new partnership will bring to the ANZ region, and look forward to introducing our customers to the innovative Apex range over the coming weeks and months,” Wendler says.
Print & Pack has been operating in the Australasian region for more than 40 years, under various names including Craven Engineering, Gibson & Lynch, MAN Ferrostaal and Ferrostaal before consolidating as Print & Pack Australia and Print & Pack New Zealand in 2016. The company now has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, and represents a range of market-leading suppliers including Bobst, Komori, K&Z, H&S, Baumer HHS, Rodicut, Apex International, Daetwyler and others.
