Sustainability and interoperability were the overarching themes of the Result Group stand at APPEX, with the company showcasing the initiatives and collaborative relationships that are driving it forward across all business areas.
The display encompassed its Product ID, Self-Adhesive Materials, Process Automation and Value-Added Packaging areas as well as providing information on its partnerships with AiP, APCO, End Food Waste, NRA, ABA, AIPIA, GS1 ACOR and AFGC, as well as on hot topics like food waste.
Michael Dossor, Group General Manager, says the focus is vital to satisfy customer demand, and to safeguard the future of the planet.
“Visitors were keen to find out more about our linerless labels, which save about five tonnes of silicon liner per machine each year going into waste, and our inkjet coater, which uses 50% less solvent and only requires servicing every five years,” he reports.
“There was also significant interest in SA Mat and compostable label stocks, which are both home and commercially compostable and feature wash-off adhesives so that the label can be easily separated from the PET, PP and PE bottles when exposed to the correct temperature and pH levels in the recycling stream.”
In value-added packaging, the company showcased its resealable packs which preserve shelf life in the home to tackle the $36 billion lost to the economy through food waste each year.”
The company also displayed its process automation solutions, including natural fruit branding to eliminate stickers and platforms that offer enhanced traceability and help suppliers better manage their supply chains and handle issues like product recalls.
